Dr Sood understands that seeing a specialist can be confusing and stressful. Her approach is based on empathy, understanding and integrity. Her aim is to understand you, your circumstances and to empower you with information as you take on your health journey together.

Qualifications and Training

Dr Sood wanted to be a surgeon from the time she started med school. The prospect of helping an individual from an illness to treatment, to prevention and education was inspiring. she has a passion for helping treat, cure, and support the recovery of her patients.

She graduated from medicine at the University of New South Wales having completed my undergraduate degree with Honours. During my surgical training program, she trained at some of Australia’s busiest tertiary level hospitals in Sydney, Canberra and regional hospitals across New South Wales.

Dr Sood became a General Surgeon attaining Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. She completed specialised post-fellowship training in Breast Oncoplastic Surgery and became a full accredited member of the Society of Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ). She has completed Master of Surgery (Breast Surgery) and Graduate Certificate of Surgery (Breast) from the University of Sydney.

She is a Specialist Breast Surgeon trained in oncoplastic surgery offering expertise in all breast conditions with an interest in treating breast cancers, breast implant related conditions, breast reductions, and benign breast conditions. she also perform acute general surgery, laparoscopic general surgery and elective surgery for selected general surgical conditions.

Dr Sood is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney and a member of the ANZ Breast Cancer Trials Group. She is a representative on the Healthscope National Medical Council and a Medical Officer with BreastScreen NSW.
