Inpatient Rehabilitation
Inpatient rehabilitation is available for Wyvern’s patients, after their surgery with us. John Yeo Ward at Wyvern Private Hospital gives you the support and care you need to recover after surgery. With a personalised rehab plan, overseen by a rehabilitation consultant, our team of specialists will work with you towards your individually tailored goals. You’ll have access to physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals, all while staying in a comfortable, well-equipped environment that has been purposefully designed to ensure care without compromise. Our goal is to help you get back to doing what you love as quickly and safely as possible, with 24/7 care and attention every step of the way.

Our gymnasium offers a safe and supportive space to support a wide range of rehabilitation needs for both inpatient and outpatient clients. Featuring a treadmill, exercise bikes, parallel bars, and other specialised equipment, it’s the perfect setting to help you regain strength, improve mobility, and boost overall wellbeing. Whether you’re recovering from surgery, injury, or working towards future proofing you, our experienced and encouraging rehabilitation team will provide you with the guidance needed to achieve your goals.
Hydrotherapy
Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation
We are proud to offer Hydrotherapy, or aquatic therapy, in our state of the art pool as an effective treatment choice for your rehabilitation. The buoyancy of water reduces stress on joints and muscles and the hydrostatic pressure can help with management of swelling, making it an ideal environment for patients recovering from surgery or experiencing pain. Additionally, the resistance of water helps to build strength, while the warmth can promote muscle relaxation and pain relief. Our hydrotherapy pool has been designed in conjunction with Physiotherapists to be as accessible as possible, and is equipped with features such as a pool hoist, water chair and ramp and accessible change areas. Please speak with your rehabilitation team to see if hydrotherapy is right for you.

Health fund rebates are available on the day through HICAPS pending extras cover.
Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) referrals are accepted through your GP and will give you a Medicare rebate of around $60 off 5 Physio sessions per calendar year.
No referrals are needed to attend.
