Dr Davor Saravanja

Dr Saravanja is a fellowship trained spinal surgeon who has extensive experience with treating a wide range of conditions including: Disc herniation, Degenerative spinal conditions, Scoliosis, Deformity spinal conditions, Spinal tumours and Cervical spine surgery.

He is particularly known for complex spinal surgery to correct scoliosis and other deformity spinal conditions.

In addition to referrals from General Practitioners, our patients commonly come to us after a recommendation from a previous patient. Other surgeons also often refer complex or high-risk cases to Dr Saravanja.Dr Saravanja spent 18 months in one of the world’s best fellowship programs refining his skills. Following completion of his Orthopaedic training in Sydney in 2007, Dr Saravanja then travelled to Vancouver, Canada to complete this fellowship in Complex Spine Surgery. 

He worked for over a year with world renowned spine surgeons Dr Marcel Dvorak, Dr Charles Fisher, Dr Michael Boyd, Dr Brian Kwon, Dr Scott Paquette, and Dr John Street at Vancouver General Hospital.

Dr Saravanja also spent six months working with Dr Chris Reilly and Dr Firoz Miyanji at British Columbia’s Children’s Hospital, specialising in Paediatric Spinal Surgery.

Dr Saravanja is, and has been, involved in numerous research projects and has authored textbook chapters.  He completed world leading research in the field of primary bone tumours affecting the spine whilst on Fellowship.

He has also been granted many patents in the field of Spine Surgery.
