Dr sumit raniga

Associate Professor Sumit Raniga is an award winning, internationally recognised subspecialist orthopaedic shoulder and elbow surgeon. Director of the Macquarie University Translational Orthopaedic Research Lab.

Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and a subspecialist orthopaedic shoulder and elbow surgeon with three years of dedicated clinical and research fellowships in world renowned centres of excellence. 

Awarded the prestigious Charles S. Neer Award for research in the field of shoulder surgery by the American Shoulder and Elbow Society (ASES) in 2016. Inaugural recipient of the prestigious Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia's (SESA) North American Travelling Fellowship Award for 2024.

Dr Raniga provides the highest standard of evidence-based management and surgical treatment of simple and complex shoulder and elbow problems with compassion and empathy.
