Dr Marcus Chia is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with substantial experience in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. Utilising his surgical expertise coupled with his prior physiotherapy training, his practice aims to restore function via surgical and non-surgical management of patients.

Marcus completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2011. To gain further experience in his chosen area of expertise of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, he undertook intensive training at the Alps Surgery Institute, Clinique Generale, Annecy, France, where he trained under Dr Laurent Lafosse, a pioneer in shoulder arthroscopy.

Marcus continues to push the envelope of what can be achieved with an arthroscope. His expertise extends to: Minimally invasive and advanced techniques for the treatment of Arthritis; Shoulder instability; Rotator cuff tear; Fracture management; and Obscure and unusual shoulder and elbow disorders.

When not at work he relaxes by surfing and enjoying his beautiful and understanding family.
