Dr Charlie Lin

Dr Charlie Lin is an Australian-trained orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty expertise in hip and knee replacement surgery.

He completed his orthopaedic training in Sydney before undertaking an advanced fellowship in the United States,  including arthroplasty at the Reuben Institute of Advanced Orthopaedics in Baltimore and complex trauma at Harborview Medical Centre in Seattle.

Dr Lin has particular expertise in direct anterior total hip replacement, including the minimally invasive bikini incision approach. This technique avoids cutting through major muscles and often leads to less pain, faster recovery, and a small and more discreet scar.

With extensive experience in this procedure, Dr Lin has collaborated with leading surgeons around the world and is actively involved in teaching the direct anterior approach to other orthopaedic surgeons. As a recognised Proctor surgeon,  he supervises and guides colleagues in adopting the technique safely and effectively.

Alongside his hip replacement practice.  Mr Lin also performs knee replacement surgery and complex revision procedures. He is committed to patient-centred care and continually integrates the latest evidence-based techniques to optimise outcomes for his patients.
