Dr Bill Johnston is a highly experienced and respected consultant Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) surgeon whose career spans more than two decades in both public and private practice. He holds a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.

Dr Bill Johnston graduated MBBS from the University of New South Wales in 1991, followed by surgical and ENT training at major Sydney hospitals including Royal North Shore, Royal Prince Alfred, Westmead, Concord and Children’s Hospital Westmead. After completing a Rhinology Fellowship under Professor Raymond Sacks and Dr Martin Forer, he entered full-time private practice in 2002.

Dr Johnston has extensive experience in both public and private sectors. He has held longstanding VMO appointments at Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai District Hospital, Sydney Adventist Hospital (where he has also been Head of ENT), and Chatswood Private Hospital, and maintains private consulting rooms at Chatswood ENT. He also supports a public list at Port Macquarie Base Hospital.

His clinical expertise covers general ENT with special interests in paediatric snoring, airway disorders, allergic airway disease, as well as adult chronic nasal obstruction, snoring and nasal allergy management.

Dr Johnston is actively involved in medical outreach, making regular trips to Vanuatu and, more recently, to Nauru, to assist in ENT and surgical work. Based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches with his wife and three sons, he enjoys surfing, golf, swimming, and tennis.
