Dr Donald Cawthorne

Dr Cawthorne completed both undergraduate and post-graduate training in Sydney, undertaking his medical degree at the University of Sydney. With a wide range of experience across major metropolitan hospitals and regional towns, Dr Cawthorne prides himself on his personable and professional approach to patient care. Along with his colleagues at MTP Health Orthopaedic Group, patient education and collaboration with wider healthcare team are central to his practice approach. Dr Cawthorne has also authored and contributed to several research papers published in surgical journals, and presented research at State, National and International conferences including at the Australian Annual Scientific Meeting, and the World Congress of Physical Therapy in Singapore.

Dr Cawthorne’s special interests are:

• Robotic Hip Replacement (Anterior and Posterior Approach).

• Robotic Knee Replacement, 

• Sports Knee Surgery (Meniscal Injuries, Anterior Cruciate Ligament Ruptures, Patella Dislocations),
