Dr Amir Ashrafizadeh

Dr Amir Ashrafi is a specialist general surgeon with particular focus on minimally-invasive hernia surgery and gastrointestinal disease. After completing his general surgery training at Royal North Shore Hospital, he undertook further fellowship training in Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary, Abdominal oncology and Liver surgery. 

His main area of interest includes minimally invasive hernia surgery, gallbladder and liver operations, surgical oncology and diagnostic gastroscopy and colonoscopy. 

Dr Ashrafi has completed a Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney and has academic positions at the University of Notre Dame and University of Sydney. He has published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented at Australian and European conferences.
